Atlassian Team '25 kicked off with a clear message: Atlassian is no longer just delivering tools, but building a modular, intelligent, and fully integrated ecosystem—a true Work System for businesses of all sizes.

More than just incremental updates, the event introduced structural changes in how products are organized, integrated, and used by teams, combining platform + apps + artificial intelligence into a seamless and scalable experience.

Check out the main highlights:

🧩 System of Work: Atlassian as a living platform

Atlassian presented its vision of the System of Work, a model where the Atlassian platform and ecosystem apps work together to deliver greater value.

The proposal is clear: to enhance teamwork through the combination of the base platform (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) and complementary apps (Marketplace, Forge, AI, automations, integrations).

🛠️ Atlassian Collections: grouping solutions by journey

Atlassian products are now organized into themed collections, which facilitate adoption by area and use case:

  • Strategy Collection: Focus, Talent, Align
  • Teamwork Collection: Jira, Confluence, Loom
  • Customer Service Management: Jira Service Management + Rovo
  • Software Development Collection: Bitbucket, Compass, Jira Product Discovery

This new structure reinforces Atlassian’s positioning as a team platform, going beyond task management to support the entire journey—from planning to delivery.

🤖 Rovo: Atlassian’s AI for everyone

One of the most anticipated announcements was Rovo, Atlassian’s AI assistant, which will be available for free to:

  • Premium and Enterprise customers starting April 14, 2025
  • Standard customers with AI enabled by the end of the year

Rovo is fully integrated into workflows and offers:

  • Intelligent contextual analysis: e.g., cross-referencing resumes and profiles for HR
  • Support for continuous improvement, based on CSAT and feedback
  • A customer-centric experience with smarter workflows
  • Integration with Jira Service Management, expanding digital service

🧠 Studio App: Intelligent and centralized creation

One of the biggest innovations was the launch of Studio App, a new hub that brings together:

  • Customized intelligent agents
  • AI-powered workflow creation
  • Integrations with Forge
  • Unified automation

All of this in a single environment, making AI accessible to any team.

🆙 Custom Templates in Jira

Now you can create and reuse project, issue, and workflow templates in Jira, making it easier to:

  • Organizational scalability
  • Adoption by new teams
  • Process consistency
  • Reduced technical dependency

This feature will also be available in other Atlassian products in the future.

☁️ Atlassian Isolated Cloud and Atlassian Government Cloud

With security, privacy, and compliance in mind, Atlassian has launched:

  • Isolated Cloud: a dedicated environment for enterprise customers with more demanding regulatory requirements
  • Government Cloud: a secure environment for U.S. government agencies, focused on reducing risks and ensuring full data protection

In addition, there were other new features such as Atlassian Home & Dashboards, product integration with Loom, Atlassian Command Line Interface, native Checklists, and more—which you can check out directly on the Atlassian website.

As we’ve seen, with Team ’25, Atlassian reinforces its position as a complete platform where everything is connected: teams, processes, data, intelligence, and automation.

The era of Atlassian as “just Jira or Confluence” is behind us; now we’re talking about a unified, flexible, and intelligent platform, ready to scale with the challenges of modern organizations.
